Night of terror, havoc and brutality reigned,
Eerie silence with no one coming to their aid,
It rained bullets, it spewed hatred and acid,
Heaven turned to hell, now no more placid!
Humanity that slowly ebbed like the tide,
The ghastly and gory acts played, no where to hide;
In the survivor’s minds, never to fade until they died!
Spectators debated whether to call it genocide or exodus?
Intellectuals busy verifying facts of the tragedy and modus!
Does it matter? Whatever we call or analyse,
People butchered and diced is the reality, hope we realise!
Lesser numbers does not make it less of a crime.
Cannot forgive! When a girl was cut like wood just this one time!
Blood soaked in the snow leaving trails so grime,
Crimson valley, a witness to the horror of the ghastly regime!
Humanism we claim to believe in, but do we?
Do we really hear the cries and then flee?
Film and Media buzz brings to our attention,
Communities that are forgotten as if in detention!
Everything remains on paper, the concepts
The philosophical discussions, no one steps
When the disaster strucks, its shortlived buzz
Grabs attention, no one offers a solution, no one does!
Leading to many more such Crimson valleys!
Bloodlust, a cause or effect in those alleys!
Destruction the only result of this fanatism!
Neither love, nor peace but lust for power the only motivation.
